Community-based organizations in Tafilah, Jordan, launch advocacy campaigns on women's empowerment

In partnership with UN Women and the Jordanian National Commission for Women, the Information and Research Center – King Hussein Foundation recently launched a series of advocacy campaigns on women’s empowerment developed by seven women’s community-based organizations in Tafilah, Jordan.

Over a period of six months, joint advocacy efforts will address challenges and opportunities faced by women and girls in their communities, including access to quality health services, public transportation, and management of financial resources.

This initiative is supported, in part, by the Zonta International Foundation as part of the UN Women program, "Expand Self-reliance and Social Cohesion Opportunities for Jordanian Women and Syrian Refugee Women and Promote Meaningful Engagement in Community Life - Eid Bi Eid."
